Just a couple days after Dallas Beer Kitchen closed its doors on Lowest Greenville, it announced it will be reopening today, Jan. 29. Atlantic Hotels Ltd. plans to open a Westin Hotel in East Dallas. According to the Dallas Morning News the Carrolton-based company purchased the vacant 7-story Dallas Health & Rehabilitation Center building on Gaston with plans to pour $25 million into converting it. Read more.

The Dallas Morning News reported that Dallas ISD trustee Nancy Bingham, who has served 12 years on the school board, says she will not be running for reelection in May. The reason? She told the DMN she “expected changes to happen more quickly than they did.” Read more.
