East Dallas-based Latin Deli, which we featured in our Delicious section back in 2013, is opening a second location in downtown Dallas, according to Dallas CultureMap. The owner Fernando Barrera, originally from Mexico City, opened the deli in our neighborhood in 2011 in the southeast corner of Abrams and Northwest Highway. They hope to open the second location in early spring.
Join the memorial ceremony and run at White Rock Lake on Saturday to honor David and Patti Stevens. A group will dedicate a bench in the couple’s honor, where David was slain at random last fall. David’s wife, Patti, killed herself two weeks later. The run will begin after the ceremony. Read more on the Dallas Morning News.
