Kaiyo was crafted by Chef Jimmy Park, a California native raised in Hawaii who got his start in the restaurant industry shortly after dropping out of high school.

Park was determined to “be someone.” Going from various states and restaurants then later helped open two notable dining places in Dallas, Pōk the Raw Bar and Nori the Handroll Bar.

After years of kitchen experience, he decided to open his first restaurant on Greenville Avenue, Shoyo and now Kaiyo.

The restaurant’s grand opening will take place from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., located at 2014 Greenville Ave. Walk-ins are welcomed throughout the evening.
