Chef Rene Peeters of Watel’s is opening a new restaurant in the little space once occupied by Sharon Hage’s York Street.
He expects Bistro Watel’s to open April 15.
The bistro will feature “fine dining with amenities at an affordable price”, Peeters says. The menu will be French-influenced gourmet cuisine with flavors from around the world.
Peeters’ two Lower Greenville restaurants, Watel’s World Piece Café and the adjacent Bites Global Tapas and Wine Bar, also will continue to operate.
