Molino Olōyō, a Mexican eatery that has served food as a pop-up, caterer and private tasting dinner host, is expected to open in a dedicated storefront in Old East Dallas where the restaurant Cry Wolf used to be.
“We have a casita,” reads a May 30 post on Molino Olōyō’s Instagram page. “See y’all at 4422 Gaston Ave.”
Another post from the same day is a thank you note to the restaurant’s early supporters, food industry partners and farmers in Mexico. An accompanying video hints that the Gaston Avenue location will open in the first half of 2026.
“Molino Olōyō’s story continues, and this is a thank you to everyone who has believed in us from the start,” reads the Instagram post. “We built Molino Olōyō with dimes, dreams and nickels; you supported us and gave us life. You believed in us when we were delivering tamales and tortillas to your doorstep. You waited for specific days, sent DMs, stood in long lines and still came back when we sold out — thank you. To those in the industry who welcomed us into your homes and even let us take them over for a night — thank you. Finally, the farmers in Mexico who never gave up, who believed in what is right and never lost hope in defending our native grains — thank you.”
The Molino Olōyō concept launched in 2021, according to a Dallas Observer article. The restaurant’s co-founders Olivia López and Jonathan Percival have previously been honored as James Beard semifinalists. Molino Olōyō’s new space is expected to include a tasting room and another section serving “street-style fare.”
