It’s now official: Meso Maya Comida y Copas will indeed be the new tenant replacing a former laundromat and dentist office on the southwest corner of Mockingbird-Abrams, as sources told us last October. Guidelive had the story this morning that Meso Maya is listed on certificate of occupancy notices on the vacant storefront.

Meso Maya has two current locations, one downtown near the Perot museum, in between sister concepts El Fenix and Taqueria La Ventana, and one at Preston-Forest in the northwest corner’s strip center. The concept began there four years ago. The Lakewood location, Dallas’ third and newest Meso Maya, will comprise roughly 6,000 square feet next to a dry cleaner and behind an urgent care center. The Mockingbird Abrams Shopping Center owners also expanded Joann’s and added a Jos. A. Bank in recent years.
