It happens from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Highland Oaks Church of Christ, 10805 Walnut Hill. Haven’t done dinner? Come early, at 6, for a light meal, organizers say. (They also promise to serve Starbucks coffee.)

“We encourage all of our valuable citizens, crime watch groups, volunteers in patrol members, homeowner association leaders, apartment managers and businesses to attend … new individuals working here are excited to meet the citizens they serve.”

Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions, pose concerns and learn more about code enforcement, volunteering in patrol, the Lake Highlands Public Improvement District, Ferguson Road Initiative, Dallas Fire Department and community courts, to name a few things.
