The Magdalen House will hold an enormous garage sale this month to raise money to help women trying to recover from alcoholism.
We told you about the Magdalen House, also known affectionately as Maggie’s House, in a February 2009 story. It is a free, non-medical detox center for women located in the White Rock area. Friday and Saturday May 13 and 14, the sale will be held at Maggie’s,1302 Redwood Circle.
Organizers are seeking volunteers to work the sale as well as gently used items to sell. Maggie’s House functions almost entirely on private donations.Call 214.324.9261 for more info.
