The City of Dallas Park & Recreation won the Sense of Place award from Preservation Dallas for the DeGolyer House at the Dallas Arboretum.
The DeGolyer House, which comprises 21,000 square feet, was built in 1939, and the city has owned it since 1975. It was designed by architects from Beverly Hills, Calif., and it is an interpretation of a Mexican hacienda.
It is available for tours between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
