Warren Augustus and the rest of the Blow Salon employees donated bags of food to Woodrow’s Peace Pantry after the group asked for holiday meals for families at area schools.
The gift included over $600 in spiral hams, 25 full holiday dinners, and 50 bags of snack foods.
The Peace Pantry is an initiative started at Woodrow Wilson High School to help feed families in the feeder pattern who experience homelessness or are food insecure.
Nancy Wilson, who helps run the pantry, wrote on Facebook, “The Woodrow Wilson Peace Pantry is beyond grateful. Merry Christmas from The Woodrow Wilson Peace Pantry. Get your hair cut at Blow Salon. Tell them the Woodrow Wilson Peace Pantry sent you.”
