I just received the auction brochure for Thursday night’s Lipscomb Elementary silent auction at Times Ten Cellars, and truthfully, I’m not really sure I want to blog about it because it will simply up the bids for the items I’m going to try to win. But the public has a right to know, no?
Just a few highlights: a weekend stay in Taos, N.M., in a place called Villa Tranquila (sounds relaxing, right?); a six-month membership to the White Rock YMCA; and a York Street chef’s tasting menu (six courses with wine pairing) with a signed cookbook.
Or, if you’ve been wanting some face time with Councilman Angela Hunt, bid on a lunch with her at Fearing’s. A day out with your child includes lunch at Angelo’s, tickets to the Dallas Children’s Theater and dessert at Paciugo. And win a chance to pamper yourself and a friend with two facials at Facelogic, and lunch at Empire Baking Co.
Plus, tons of sports tickets, restaurant gift cards, music lessons and more. Browse the full list, and make sure to be at Times Ten Thursday night between 7-9 p.m. Admission is free, and so is the food — provided by Jimmy’s, Whole Foods, Central Market, Newflower Market and Society Bakery.
