Get into the holiday spirit with Light Up Lowest Greenville. Hosts Tim Delaughter and the Polyphonic Spree will host the event to launch the Lower Greenville Collective. It will include a wood pallet tree lighting and photos with Santa, along with ornaments for sale and a beer sampling mug to be filled by Lower Greenville establishments. The event runs from 4-8 p.m. and is free to attend.
The Nutcracker Suite Exhibit will open this Friday at the Dallas Arboretum and will run until Jan. 7. The exhibition is a collection of more than 800 nutcrackers on display throughout the historic DeGolyer House. Each scene is arranged to recreate scenes from Tchaikovsky’s ballet, “The Nutcracker.” Tickets to the arboretum are $10-$15 and include the exhibit.
Take care of those Thanksgiving calories with the Burn the Bird 5k. Meet at Run On! on Mockingbird at 7 a.m. and bring a can of food for the North Texas Food Bank. The can will enter you for a special discount for the Hot Chocolate 15k/5k.
