Nominate a charity …
… for recognition at local running events. The Dallas Running Club has announced a new program to help local charities raise awareness. The club will select a different charity to feature each month, organizers say. The featured charity will be given a booth and may choose to sponsor an aid station at a DRC racing event, held the first Saturday of each month. All monthly, featured charities will then be invited to set up a booth at the largest race of the year, The DRC Half Marathon in November. All of this will be at no charge to the featured charity of the month. Each charity will be asked to provide five to 10 volunteers for the race. Contact jason@dallasrunningclub.com if you would like to nominate a charity, and visit dallasrunningclub.com for more information.

Buy a T-shirt …
… from Terilli’s and contribute to the burned-out restaurants rebuilding campaign. The T-shirts are $19.99. The front reads “I [heart] Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX, Rebuild 2010”. And the back features a picture of the Lower Greenville building that burned in March. All proceeds from the shirts go toward rebuilding the restaurant. They are available online at terillis.com/tshirts.htm
