One of our neighborhood’s most famous dive bars just got another bump. A film crew was at Lakewood Landing on Wednesday to shoot an ABC show with Vanessa Williams.
The bar was closed Wednesday for the shoot. Variety reports that Vanessa Williams will play a role in the upcoming ABC series “False Profits,” a comedic drama similar to “Desperate Housewives.” In the show, Arizona women work their way up through a multi-level marketing cosmetics company. Williams will play Suzanne, the leader of the saleswomen.
Williams starred in numerous shows and movies through the years, recorded a top 10 Billboard hit and was the first African-American woman to win Miss America.
Lakewood Landing returned to regular business hours on Thursday.
