Neighbors can visit Northridge Presbyterian Church to purchase art made by homeless and at-risk populations served by nonprofit The Stewpot.

The art show will feature works by 10-15 artists, some of whom will be at the event. Most of the pieces, ranging from under $50 to around $500, are acrylic on canvas; however, past art fairs have featured ceramic, jewelry and textile pieces.

Artists receive 90% of the sales, and 10% goes back to The Stewpot to purchase supplies and cover costs of field trips for the artists. People who are or were homeless and are looking for a way to express themselves through art are eligible to participate in the program, which provides free materials to the artists.

This is the third time the church on Bob-O-Link Drive has hosted a Stewpot Art Fair, and church member Stephanie Peck said the congregation hopes to hold additional sales in the future.

View the art and meet artists of the Stewpot Art Program in Northridge’s Quillin Hall from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 30.
