JuiceLand, a juice store founded in Texas, is expanding to Lakewood.

The company will open a location at Hillside Village shopping center at the Mockingbird-Abrams intersection, Hillside Village shared on its social media.

According to a certificate of occupancy application, JuiceLand will be in suite 365, the former Sally Beauty Supply, near Vie Nail Bar. The company expects to open this fall.

This will be the fourth JuiceLand location in Dallas. The first opened in 2016 at Sylvan 30, on Sylvan Avenue near Interstate 30. Since then, two more have opened in Uptown and at The Pavilion on Lovers Lane.

JuiceLand serves smoothies, smoothie bowls, juice, shots, superfood lattes and tonics, and plant-based meals.

Among the best-sellers, according to the company’s website, are the Originator, Wundershowzen and Morning Sunshine smoothies, the Tigerlilly juice, the Golden Milk Coffee Latte and the Frijole Roller Burrito.

The Originator, a purple concoction, is made with apple almond milk, banana, blueberry, cherry, peanut butter, brown rice protein and spirulina. The Tigerlilly green juice has cucumber, celery, kale, parsley and spinach.

Matt Shook, a native of Nacogdoches, founded the company. According to an Austin Monthly piece, Shook moved to Austin in 1996 and started working shifts at a smoothie bar called The Juice Joint.

In 2003, Shook took over the business and renamed it Daily Juice. He opened a second location in Austin in 2007. And in 2011, the company became JuiceLand.

Now, JuiceLand has stores throughout Austin and Houston in addition to Dallas.
