Jenny Wegley oversees more than 4.2 million plants at the Arboretum.

“I was really little when I started playing in the yard,” Wegley says in the segment. “It was always my safe place. It was always a place I could go and play in the soil.”

In “Mission Unstoppable,” Wegley shows viewers how she studies plants from seed to flower and uses a trial garden to collect data on each species to ensure they thrive in the Texas summer heat and are compatible within the 66-acre gardens.

Miranda Cosgrove, who starred in “Despicable Me” and the Nickelodeon show “iCarly,” hosts and produces the show alongside Academy Award-winner Geena Davis. It airs at 10 a.m. Saturdays as part of CBS’s educational programming block.
