Workers had spent all morning and evening putting in the roadway lights for the streets that run north-south. Left-turn signals had already been put in place of the east- and west-bound lanes. The installation brought about the usual traffic, especially around the 5 p.m. rush hour, however, the signals are now up and running.

A representative of District 14 City Councilman Philip Kingston‘s office said the installations were the result of a citizen request received in June. The representative noted the report stated increased traffic had made it difficult to make a left turn at the intersection.
