In a letter to members, Impact wrote, “The staff, members and community at our White Rock club have have always held a special place in our heart.” It discusses a struggle to keep the location open and even operating the gym at a loss to stay, but in the end the “relentless battle with the new landlords” was too much.

The letter from the Impact Management Team says they spent tens of thousands in legal fees along the way to renewing their lease in what used to be Lake Highlands Center, but the fight is now over. September 4th will be the last day to offer services there. Members can transfer their account to any of the YouFit locations within 10 miles of the location.

The shopping center has seen a transformation over the last couple years, with El Vecino and La Caveau Vinotheque joining the Green Spot in the Old Lake Highlands shopping center, which was painted white and still has plenty of vacancy.

We have reached out to the property owners, Venture Commercial, as well as the Impact team, and will follow up as more information comes to light. Read the entire letter below.
