A few weeks ago, we wrote about the people at Green Living sponsoring an electronics recycling day to collect left-over electronics from our homes, rather than having us dispose of the potentially environmentally dangerous items in the regular garbage, etc. I stopped by just a few minutes ago (and a few minutes before the event ended), and take a look at the haul. Just from our neighborhood, there was literally a semi-truck full of computer monitors, desktop computers, laptops, wireless phones, stereo equipment and more dropped off during the event. When I drove up a couple of minutes before the official closing time, one of the guys responsible for loading the truck (who was already sweating profusely) told me: "Hey, buddy – we’re closed!" And then he laughed and told me to unload my car. Good turnout by the neighborhood for a good event — thanks Green Living for sponsoring this.
