Alfred Hitchcock, the filmmaker who once said, “Always make the audience suffer as much as possible”, along with Mockingbird Station and the Angelika brings you spooky movie screenings Thursdays throughout October.
There are three opportunities yet for extreme suffering this month: 10.8—Rear Window; 10.15—Psycho; and 10.22—Dial M for Murder. Screenings are free and open to the public and screen at 8 p.m.
For the final Thursday of the month (10.29) the Angelika is partnering with the Dallas Cinemania Film Society, a group dedicated to screening cult cinema locally on the big screen. Together, they’ll present a 35mm print of Dario Argento’s seminal slasher Deep Red. The show starts at 8 p.m. inside the Angelika, and tickets will be available at the door for $5.
