If you hear a rumbling in the distance during your drive home tonight, it could be thunder … or it might be the 100 or so high-speed, high-end cars taking part in the Gumball 3000 Rally, a so-called “traveling circus” of celebrities, musicians and athletes including professional skateboarder Tony Hawk and the cross-dressing former Dallas Maverick Dennis Rodman. The collection of Rolls-Royces, rare Porsches, Lamborghinis and Corvettes (to name a few) will stop for the night at the W Hotel, promising to liven up Victory Park in the absence of a home game.
