News coverage of Saturday’s event is here, here, and here. It seems, because of the cool, rainy weather, that there were a lot less problems this year than last. (Though I was surprised to see Kent Fischer of Dallas’ Only Daily Newspaper, who covers the DISD, drafted for parade reporting duties.)
One question, though: I was driving down lower Greenville, near the Goody Goody, and the street was already closed at 8:30 a.m. Yes, I’m not a big fan of the parade, but isn’t that a bit early?
