North Texas Giving Day is upon us. The event organized by the Communities Foundation of Texas enables every neighbor to be a philanthropist by donating to local charities.
Last year, the event raised $48 million and benefited 2,700 nonprofits. Nearly 130 East Dallas organizations, including Friends of the Santa Fe Trail and For the Love of the Lake, will participate in 2019.
Although the event starts Thursday, you can schedule an online donation today.
Celebrate by giving online or attending a neighborhood party from 2-6 p.m. Thursday at Comercia Bank at Abrams Road. Mommies In Need and other neighborhood nonprofits will provide food, children’s activities, prizes and incentives to give.
