The association, which provides a forum to expectant parents and families with children under the age of 5, drew more than 200 people to the Jan. 11 event at The Granada Theater, 3524 Greenville Ave. The proceeds will benefit Geneva Heights and its students, but the specific allocation of funds has not been determined, according to a news release.

Association representatives are speaking with school officials to determine what projects to fund. Some money may go toward outdoor projects while other funds will go toward classroom projects, according to the release.

Geneva Nights included food, an open bar, a photo booth, wine pull, raffle, auction, pop-up gelato stand and an ’80s cover band, according to the release.

Eighty-eight items were donated to the auction, and all but four were sold. The unsold items will be used for future events.

Event attendees also donated more than $3,000 to the Woodrow Peace Pantry at Geneva Heights. The pantry provides canned foods, nonperishables and snacks for children who might not have access to food sources, according to the Dallas Independent School District website.
