A free women’s self defense class and a “Stranger Danger” class for kids is being offered at Chamberlain Studios of Self Defense on June 25.
Professor Nick Chamberlain will teach the two-hour self-defense workshop and workout that will offer techniques to avoid dangerous situation and fend off potential attackers.
Attendees can also break a board for a buck and learn how to break a wooden plank with their bare hands for $1. That money will go to benefit the Genesis Women’s Shelter.
A children’s workshop for kids 4 and up will also be available. The class includes martial arts exercises, games and lessons. The Dallas Police Department will also offer safety tips.
The class will be held from noon to 2 p.m. at the Chamberlain studio at 2114 Kidwell.
