A Silver Alert was issued for 71-year-old Beatriz Totsuka, the mother-in-law of Jose Luis Rodriguez, who owns Mixtitos Kitchen at the Samuell-Grand intersection.

Totsuka was last seen around 4:30 p.m., walking in the 9900 block of Bethany Drive in East Dallas, according to the Dallas Police Department.

Neighbors were active on social media last night, sharing photos and information to help find Totsuka and spread the word that she had gone missing.

Police said Totsuka was found safe around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, though social media posts from Totsuka’s family indicate she was located before then.

Rodriguez posted a message of thanks on East Dallas neighborhood Facebook groups after his mother-in-law was found.

“Thank God, we found mom,” Rodriguez wrote. “Thank you, all so much for your support and prayers. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 our family is very grateful for you all. May God return to you all the kindness and support you have given us tonight, multiplied.”
