Mother Nature needs a hug from you, your family and your friends this weekend.
After every heavy rain, the lake has a ring around it that cannot be flushed away, which is why organizations like For the Love of the Lake work so hard to recruit volunteers to help pick up debris.
For the Love of the Lake’s Second Saturday Shoreline Spruce-up is this weekend, and they are asking that you and your neighbors join them.
From 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. this Saturday, July 13, they’ll host breakfast and then head out to the lake for recycle and trash clean-up. Afterwards, there will be lunch from Campisi’s and some bite-sized sweets from Nothing Bundt Cakes.
The For the Love of the Lake office is at 1152 N. Buckner, under Another Broken Egg Cafe.
