Hold onto your Chicken Crispers, because the former Chili’s on Knox Avenue is soon to become an “American brasserie.” CultureMap reports that the laid back French restaurant will be called Up on Knox, and will be run by Stephen Corseau from nearby Le Bilboquet and Melody Bishop and Dennis Kelly, the married couple who ran Lark on the Park. Up on Knox’s menu is not yet released, but it will definitely have an oyster bar, according to CultureMap. The restaurant is set to open in September.

Attention foodies who don’t like to leave your cars when you pick up food: Central Market at the corner of Lovers and Greenville is asking the City Plan Commission this week for permission to add curbside pick up. It would mean a slight variance to the parking requirement for the property, but city staff has recommended the commission approve the request. If passed, diners on the go can place their orders ahead of time and have their order delivered to their car upon arrival. A brand of H-E-B, the grocery chain has been expanding its online offerings, including delivery service and curbside pickups.
