Woodrow organizations and clubs come up with some innovative ways to earn money for trips, equipment and school-related activities — you’ve got parking lot painting and parties for parents — but the Little Elm marching band might rival Woodrow when it comes to creative fundraising. Maybe not … but trust me, this is good:

They are putting kitschy pink flamingos in neighborhood yards, and then charging homeowners to remove them. It’s a good-natured takeover of sorts, with simple demands— for $20 the band members will remove the “harmless” flamingos and for $25 you can have them sent to someone else’s yard.
