Nonprofit organizations across the country are responding to increased calls for help brought on by the coronavirus pandemic while struggling financially themselves as fundraising events are canceled and donors are stretched thin by so much need.
To reduce the budget shortfall, United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, the Dallas Cowboys and the Communities Foundation of Texas launched North Texas Giving Tuesday Now, an emergency giving day to help nonprofits reeling from the economic fallout because of the coronavirus.
The official giving day is May 5, but early giving is open now. If you are financially able, nonprofits would welcome your donations, but you can also pledge volunteer hours.
