Lakewood Heights resident Elizabeth Viney will challenge Paul Ridley and incumbent David Blewett for the seat representing District 14 on the Dallas City Council. The election is set for Saturday, May 1.
Viney is an attorney with an undergraduate degree from Washington and Lee and a law degree from SMU. Her LinkedIn profile notes she spent five years with Gibson, Dunn and Crutcher in the litigation group, ending her affiliation there in 2017.
Viney was named the winner of The Dallas Foundation’s Good Works Under 40 award in November, 2017 for her volunteer work with Advocates for Community Transformation.
Jordan Lewis was named as Viney’s campaign treasurer.
