Easter is right around the corner, and there are opportunities to celebrate without leaving the neighborhood.

The Village’s free, family-friendly Easter Eggstravaganza is 1-4 p.m. April 7 at The Glen Lawn, behind The Drey Hotel. Egg hunts are designated for kids 0-3 years old and 4-6 years old, with the younger group starting at 2 p.m. and the older kids starting at 3 p.m.

Games will be set up on the lawn for kids 3 and older, and they can win Easter eggs filled with candy and prizes. There will also be bounce houses, face painting, a petting zoo and photos with the Easter Bunny.

Mockingbird Station is also having a couple of events.

Leading up to Easter, the shopping center is hosting a QR code scavenger hunt. To begin playing, find the QR code in the courtyard in front of Club Champion, to the left of Fit Social. Then scan QR codes to find clues that will lead to six different locations at Mockingbird Station. Once all QR codes are scanned and clues solved, participants will be led to their prize.

On Easter, the Easter Bunny is making an appearance. Take a photo with the bunny in front of the Alice in Wonderland-themed pop-up, from noon to 3 p.m. April 9.

The pop-up, decorated with florals by Mari Pohlman, is located in the space across from West Elm and will be up until May 14.

The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden’s Easter egg hunts are sold out, but there are still other opportunities to celebrate.

Easter Family Fun Weekend begins Friday and runs through Sunday. Story time is at 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., and a petting zoo is open 10 a.m.-2 p.m. There will also be live music provided by a pianist at Jeanne’s Pavilion from noon until 2 p.m., and a live band is playing at the Martin Rutchik Concert Stage and Lawn 2-4 p.m.

Take photos with the Easter Bunny at the Jonsson Color Garden Wishing Well. Chris Ivey Photography will take family photos 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday-Saturday and 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday; no reservation is needed, but there is a $20 deposit, which will be credited toward the purchase.

The arboretum is also hosting a spring vendor market 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday-Sunday.

Head to Samuell-Grand Recreation Center 5-7 p.m. April 6 for the 60th anniversary and an Easter egg hunt. Kids 3 years old and younger will get egg bags. Easter egg hunts for ages 4-6 and 7-9 start at 6:30 p.m., and for 10-12-year-olds, the hunt starts at 6:45 p.m.
