East Dallas’ pop-up drive-in will kick off 2021 with a lineup of award-winning movies to celebrate what normally would be movie awards season.

The venue at 2999 N. Carroll Ave. will show blockbusters through the years, such as “The Grand Budapest Hotel,” “Toy Story 4” and “The Silence of the Lambs.” The schedule will also feature a “people’s choice” night when moviegoers can vote for the biggest award-show snub to watch.

Guests can also continue supporting the venue’s efforts to raise money for the North Texas Food Bank by attending its community screenings. The second film on select Sunday nights is $5, and all proceeds are donated to the food bank.
