The East Dallas Chamber of Commerce recently completed moving to a new location at 718 N. Buckner Blvd. at Northcliff, Suite 332, in the Lake Highlands Village Shopping Center.
The new phone number is 321-6446, and the new fax number is 321-2100. The chamber is planning an open house this month.
Greg Blair, senior vice president of EastPark National Bank, was recently named the 1995 Chamber chairman. He is a veteran of the Chamber’s Board of Directors and has served on several Chamber committees.
Brinda Joins Arboretum as Vice President
Thomas J. Brinda has benn named vice president of the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden. Brinda joined the non-profit organization this fall. He formerly spent six years as a director of horticulture for Callaway Gardens in Georgia.
At the Arboretum, he will be responsible for supervising horticultural activities, including the planning, design and construction of all garden facilities. Brinda has a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from the University of Minnesota.
Preservation Dallas Offers A Trip Through History
Preservation Dallas, formerly known as the Historic Preservation League, is offering free tours of the 2800 and 2900 blocks of Swiss Avenue and the Wilson Historic District.
Tours are Tuesday through Thursday and Saturday at noon. The hour-long tour begins at the Wilson Carriage House, located behind 2922 Swiss at Oak Street.
