A man waiting to pick up his brother at a residence in the 4500 block of Sycamore near Live Oak and N. Carroll at approximately 6 a.m. Monday was carjacked and shot in the back, according to a police report. The victim, 27-year old Marco Diaz, was reportedly approached by a man in a black ski mask who ordered him to the ground, shot him in the back and took off in his car, a maroon Chevy Tahoe with plates 07DHJ4. The carjacker is still at large and the victim is still alive from what I can tell from the police report. I’ve put in a call to police, and will update soon with any new info.
