Christopher Lobmeyer of Troop 42 and Charlie Moore of Troop 43 are among 11 seniors from the Irving school who earned the Eagle Scout rank.

Lobmeyer rebuilt three raised garden beds and fixed five others at the White Rock United Methodist Church community garden, completing 150 hours in the process. And Moore constructed 17 step stools to help young students at St. Thomas Aquinas reach the blackboards, a project that took 20 volunteer hours.

Since 1912, more than 2 million Scouts have earned the Eagle rank. Scouts must achieve at least 21 merit badges for the honor.

But a select few Scouts have achieved all 138 merit badges. It’s an accomplishment completed by Cistercian’s Vincent Micheli and, in 2018, East Dallas neighbor Thomas Farner.
