Dwell with Dignity recently renovated the comfort station at the Dallas Zoo.
The nonprofit, founded by Lakewood resident Lisa Robison in 2009, refreshed the space with a new nursing area, “boo boo station” and library with books donated by the Dallas Public Library.
There’s a fresh coat of paint on the walls, new furniture and shelving and a decorative area rug. The nursing area offers additional privacy with black curtains.
The space is located at the zoo’s Guest Services building, next to the gift shop.
Kimberly-Clark provided the funds for the upgrade and stocked the room with items including diapers, wipes and facial tissue.
“Through this wonderful partnership, we were able to refresh a simple, functional room into a welcoming, cozy and comfortable space for the families that visit us,” Nicole Sweeney, the Dallas Zoo director of corporate and foundation giving, said in a news release.
