Blind Butcher

Due to the view-thwarting window coverings, it’s hard to tell exactly how close the Blind Butcher on Lower Greenville is to opening, but the sign is up, and that’s generally a good… sign.

Also, if you creep on their Facebook, occasionally they release little photo nuggets like this one:

But I mean it when I say “occasionally.” That photo was released in October, and we haven’t seen much since. We’ve reached out to them a couple of times, but it seems they’re keeping a pretty tight lip on things.

Owners Josh Yingling and Matt Tobin, also the brains behind Goodfriend Beer Garden & Burger House, announced the concept — which will focus on house-made meats and, of course, feature a lineup of craft beers — way back in February (read more from the original report).

At the time they said, “The design will stay true to the building’s original 1920s style.” I guess we’ll have to wait until the window covers come down to find out the rest. Unless Facebook tells us first, of course.
