Downing Hill Garden Studio, the new gardening store on Lower Greenville, is having a grand opening Saturday with a line-up of local artisans.
Here is the schedule, taken from their media release:
10 a.m., Piece of Mind Birdhouses – Sheryl Burek – whimsical birdhouses crafted by landscape designer and owner of Colorful Impressions, a landscape design company.
10 a.m. Blooming Hub Cabs – Sharon Zigrossi – repurposed hub cabs become fun ‘flowers’ to add a cheerful touch to any garden from a landscape designer with Color Impressions.
11 a.m. Design Roots – Heather Bloem – handcrafted greeting cards and stationery with a botanical twist.
1 p.m. Joan Hudson Tibbets — colorful plant hangers and sculptures add color and whimsy to the garden, and the proceeds support literacy programs.
2 p.m. O’Kelly Woodworking – adirondack chairs and accessories from reclaimed wood.
3 p.m. Promise of Peace Garden – Elizabeth Dry – a community garden in East Dallas is changing lives perspectives.
