Note to self: carry mace, or some sort of weapon, when walking, jogging.
This is the second story in a few days I have read about vicious dogs tearing up an innocent person.
(The other was in the September issue of Runner’s World magazine, a story of two brothers in San Diego who were severely injured by a pack of dogs while running and that story doesn’t appear to be online.)
This one was closer to home. Sandra McKenzie was walking her dogs in the neighborhood near Jupiter and Northwest Highway in East Dallas, when two pit bulls busted out of a yard and pounced on McKenzie and her pets.
She told reporters that witnesses in her neighborhood did nothing to help her. She has filed an affidavit with the city in hopes of preventing the dogs’ release, according to the Fox 4 story.
