Deep Ellum bars Double Wide and Thunderbird Station are hosting Pride Month celebrations starting June 2.

There will be a kickoff party at 9 p.m. Friday in the parking lot of Double Wide, which is owned by Kim Finch. The event includes live music, drag queens, a tattoo artist, DJs, food trucks and a mechanical penis.

Dallas DJ NATURALHiiiGH will open the celebration followed by DeLuna, Ursa Minor, Kirbbae and Apthout. Throughout the night guests can expect to see drag performances by Brigitte Bandit, Barbie Davenport, Kendrix Kyle and others. Additional musical features include Thelma & The Sleaze, Pelvis Wrestley, Kameron Ross and Barbie Bank Rose.

Third Eye Gallery will be set up in the Double Wide airstream trailer offering their tattoo services, and Easy Slider will also be on-site. The event is for guests over the age of 21, and tickets can be purchased here.

Festivities continue Saturday evening at Thunderbird Station, another bar owned by Finch. Drag King Pit Stop is a free event hosted by local musician, Dezi 5, and emceed by Roxy Rendezvous. Buck Wylde headlines the night of performances and will be followed by Logan Liqueur, Danny Foxtrot, Brett Austin, Damien Dupree and Psyril Cybininclude. Other activities include additional DJ sets, vibrator races and more. Doors open at 8 p.m., and the show starts at 10 p.m.

The Pride Month Kickoff will be one of the largest Pride celebrations in the DFW area.
