Thursday night the Arboretum plays host to Motown Magic, a top cover band for Motown and soul classics, as it continues its Cool Thursday concerts. Tickets are from $10-$30.

Robert Hill Middle School invites its feeder families to come enjoy a family movie night under the stars, with food, drink and fun. “Coco” will be on the outdoor screen, and the event starts Friday night at 7 p.m.

Lakewood author Jaclyn Amend will host a neighborhood story time by reading her children’s book “Goodnight Lakewood.”  Amend will explain the process of writing a book, and will be available to sign copies. The story time will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Lakewood Library. 

Saturday is Armed Forces Day, and active military and veterans can get a free cheeseburger at Liberty Burger with a military ID.

Neighbors have a chance to meet artist Eliu Enrique Paredes at C.C. Young on Saturday at 10 a.m. There will be a gallery of his graphite portraits and guests will have a chance to meet him and understand how he came to be an artist. The event is free and at The Point at C.C. Young.

Enjoy some rooftop yoga at HG Supply Co. Sunday afternoon and help raise money for a good cause. Neighbors can experience yoga with teacher Amber Shumake to be followed by a happy hour with mimosas. All proceeds will go toward Operation Underground Railroad, which helps rescue children in sex trafficking situations. Tickets are $20, and the fun begins at 3:30 p.m. All you need is a yoga mat.

Head to White Rock Lake Sunday from 1-5 p.m. for White Rock Boat Club’s first annual Water Safety Clinic. The free event will educate the community about the dangers connected to paddle boarding, canoeing and swimming. The boat club us at 340 E. Lawther Drive near Mockingbird Lane on the north side of the lake.

Sunday is the 14th annual White Rock East Garden Tour and Artisans. The tour will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will feature nine creative gardens in Forest Hills, Little Forest Hills and Casa Linda Estates, which include terraced landscaping, organic gardens, water features, funky art and some of the best trees in Dallas. Tickets are $12.50.

Legendary singer-songwriter David Crosby of Crosby, Stills and Nash will perform at the Granada Theater Sunday night. The Rock-n-Roll Hall-of-Famer’s show precedes his new album, Sky Trails, and will start at 7 p.m. Tickets run from $81-$136.
