Grocery stores have been about as hot as the local watering hole the past couple of years. Sometimes, their shelves aren’t as full as before in the toilet paper and bread aisles.

Take a look at four major grocery brands in our neighborhoods: Kroger, Whole Foods,  Tom Thumb and Trader Joe’s. The data is from SafeGraph Monthly from last February until January of this year.

Tom Thumb has seen the most spikes of customer foot traffic among the four included in the data. September, November and December were busy months for each of the grocery brands. The cause was likely due to holiday shopping.

These are the numbers for each store at its busiest in Dallas:

Tom Thumb: 51,159, November

Kroger: 19,868, December

Whole Foods Market: 1,479,  September

Trader Joe’s: 6,850, December
