A new cocktail bar is opening on Henderson Avenue, just in time for New Year’s Eve.
Dallas Proper will open Dec. 31 at 2918 Henderson Ave. in the space formerly occupied by Mister Rich, CultureMap reported. The night club closed on Halloween after two years in business.
“The evolution of this space from a nightclub to a chic cocktail lounge is reflective of the evolution of the whole Knox-Henderson neighborhood,” General Manager Torry Cray told CultureMap. “As this neighborhood has grown up, the mood here is so much more sophisticated and polished.”
Restaurateur Jeffrey Kollinger founded Dallas Proper, which will offer signature cocktails and bar bites from Refined Hospitality.
CultureMap described the decor as light and airy, with pops of retro accents from cocktail lounges in the 1940s and ’50s.
Dallas Proper will be open seven days a week starting Dec. 31. The bar will open with a New Year’s Eve event, complete with a DJ spinning the latest tunes.
