Dallas ISD has announced plans to relocate their headquarters to an office building at Central Expressway and Walnut Hill. They’ll pay $46.5 million for the 16-story 9400 NCX building but say DISD will save money by consolidating offices in one place instead of maintaining multiple buildings. DISD will sell the property on Ross Avenue which currently houses its home base.

The new facility will be called the Dallas ISD Education Center and will host a welcome center, student records archives, parent services office and working space for teachers and staff. About 55 current tenants will be permitted to remain in the building until their leases expire.

DISD is expected to close on the building July 1st.
