The folks at Dallas Affaires Cake Co. and Ellen Terry Realtors had a rude awakening Sunday morning when they arrived at their storefronts to find that an apparent hit-and-run driver had taken out most of the front facade (particularly at Dallas Affaires). To see a close-up photo of the damage, click here (take special note of the tire tracks climbing the wall in front of Ellen Terry’s office). Anyway, it looks as if the driver skipped past the nose-in parking in front of the stores, jumped the curb and slashed his/her way across the front of both stores.

Oddly enough, no glass appeared to have been broken, and this wasn’t the same manner of intentional crash that has been taking place across the city with the ATM smash-and-grabs. Both businesses appeared as if they would be open or business as usual, but Dallas Affaires will require some significant clean-up.
