No. No. No. Don’t do it Cynthia! I’ll admit, I’ve giggled at WFAA broadcaster Cynthia Izaguirre’s last name, when she says it on air, and especially when Gordon Keith on The Ticket radio pronounces it. Yes, those guys on the morning show tease her about her name the way fourth graders tease other kids on the playground (kind-a like the way one Back Talk reader began calling me "Christina Hughes Blab"). Cynthia, didn’t your mom teach you? They tease you because they like you. (Or was my mom lying to me about that one?)

For those of you wondering what the devil I’m blabbing about now, here’s the deal: Izaguirre is now pronouncing her name on air without rolling the Rs, whereas before she proudly rolled those Rs — it was her thing.
