Dallas crime is dropping, at least when measured by crimes-per-1,000-residents figures, and Dallas is nowhere near the worst crime city in the country, according to some new statistics wrangled up by the Morning News. In fact, adjusting for various elements related to crime causes — poverty, income, etc. — the News found that Dallas was quite a ways down the list. The story also showed that crime is falling in Dallas, so while we might not be where we want to be, at least it looks as if we’re going in the right direction.
