75204: 537 cases
75206: 396 cases
75214: 262 cases
75218: 157 cases
75223: 315 cases
As of July 19, 2020, Dallas reported 1,044 additional positive cases of coronavirus and 2 additional deaths, bringing total deaths in Dallas County to 525.
The deaths were a man in his 50s with no underlying health conditions, and a man in his 70s with underlying health conditions.
An overwhelming number of positive cases come from adults between the ages of 18-39. More than half the cases since June 1 have come from this age range, according to the county.
The increasing number of cases is attributed to social gatherings at homes, bars and other places where social distancing guidelines are not always met.
The race most impacted in Dallas is the Hispanic community, with more than 1,000 cases and 100 deaths were reported as of July 2020.
The most at-risk people remain those over the age of 65, and people who have underlying health conditions. However, Dallas County reports that more than two-thirds of hospitalizations come from people under the age of 65. Around half do not have high-risk conditions.
